“JUDO” workshop was organized by ANANTRAO PAWAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & RESEARCH in association with Savitribai phule Pune University. The program was conducted on 16 January 2016 in campus of APCOER, Pune.
The entire program was based on, to create awareness about grievances, self defense. Such type of program surely built confidence in girls students. The guest for the program was Mr. Deepak Hole, joint secretary of judo union pune and Tushar Sangle, Black belt national player. Deepak Hole has 40 years of experience as a joint secretary of judo union pune. He has his own “KRANTISURY JUDO ACADEMY. With presence of these eminent personalities, Principal, Dr. Sunil Thakare, inaugurated the program on 9 A.M. Welcome speech given by Prof. Sayali Kokane. Total 97 students from 8 colleges attended this program. All students and Guest were provided breakfast on 10.00 A.M. and session was started at 10.30 A. M.
Mr. Deepak Hole and his 8 trainers conducted first session from 10.30 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. During this session they focused on self-defense using kicks and punches. He advised girl students to live with confidence so that we can reduce crime about women’s. In this session he was introduce participants to different methods of judo for self defense. They provide demonstration to the students. The session on fundamentals cover such point as positions, standing preparatory moves, the attack, falling methods and throwing. All the students and guest were provided lunch on 12.30 P.M. and the next session was started on 1.30 P.M
In the second session, Girls students were participated and also performed judO with lot of enthusiasm and curiosity.
At the end of program, the valedictory function was organized. Valedictory speech given by Prof. Vaishali Bhimte. She extended heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all guest, our students and supporting faculty members. Students gave their feedback about program. The program was well structured and conducted in live and interactive session. The program was coordinated by Prof. Snehal Veer under the guidance of Prof. Ganesh Kondhalkar. (SWO, APCOER PUNE)
